My son Ameet Samani went to Jai Bharat School in 1980 for little over two years before our family moved to UK. At the time this was the best English Medium school in Rajkot in my opinion.

Ameet had his foundation in education learning here as well he participated in other extra curricular activities there.  In a short span of about two years whatever he learned here and than did his Business Management from Birmingham University has made him successful businessman today.

I cherish good old sweet memories of his school in Rajkot and send best wishes to Virbalaben Prafulbhai Dalal.

My son, Darshan Kakkad, began his school life at New Jai Hind Primary School.  It turned out to be God’s Gift as his foundation became solid with the modern teaching with personal care and love all students were getting from Dalal family at Jai Bharat School and New Jai Hind Primary School.

All family members of Dalal family were not just teaching kids, they were raising them like parents. Darshan has an MBA now and got selected by Multi-national companies to work with them. The solid foundation enables you to construct huge buildings on them. Jai Bharat and New Jai Hind Primary schools were doing this work – laying solid foundations.

Coming from UK to start schools for giving quality education to Indian kids brought several firsts in the education world of Rajkot.  See their love for the soil of their motherland in school names also – “Jai Bharat” and “Jai Hind”.

First School van Rajkot city saw was from Jai Bharat. Advanced teaching methods of UK which got necessary changes for Indian kids was just the transformation needed at that time.  Regular tests of students without making them stressed about stereo typed exams was unique that time.   Other schools’ students only knew about half yearly and annual exams.

Annual functions were also organized by just a few schools. “Anand Mela” (Fun fair) was also being organized by the school which concept was later used by many schools.  I can go on about such achievements of Jai Bharat and Jai Hind. Those days gave not only solid foundation to students but made us much happy and relieved parents seeing our kids bloom in the sunlight.

We remain ever indebted to them and Praying for Peace, Power and Plenty and Health, Wealth and Happiness for Dalal family.

Jai Bharat School was one of the best schools in Rajkot, Saurashtra. Very kind hearted ladies were the head of this school, Mrs Virbala Dalal, and her Daughter Neeshat Dalal. Mutual understanding between teachers and students, and wonderful management. Dance, Music, Drawing and extra curricular activities for the development of kids. My Son, Jagdish Dhirwani was the Dance Teacher in this school at the age of 13.
